Please keep all dogs on leashes or secure in a crate while at Lakewood Animal Hospital.  This reduces the chance of your pet being involved in an altercation with another pet visitor here!  It also reduces the chance that he may escape through the front door as other clients come and go.

Cats should be kept in a secure carrier at all times except when in the examination room with the doors closed.  It would be tragic for an unexpected event where your kitty was injured by a dog visitor in the lobby, escaped through an opened lobby door or bit you when suddenly frightened or startled.

Please allow our trained staff to restrain your pet once he or she enters the examination room.  Even good natured and gentle pets may act in unpredicatble ways when visiting a new or stressful surrounding.
